Confidence-building, goal-focused instruction!
Howdy! My name is ‘Peaches’ and I specialize in introducing kids and adults to the world of horses through clear, respectful, & encouraging instruction. I’m committed to introducing new people to horses during a time when the equine industry is facing a shortage of critical professionals, including veterinarians, farriers, and trainers.
Lessons blend English & Western foundational riding basics with beginner level horsemanship curriculum, such as handling, haltering/leading , and horse health care basics. While the programs have a structure, it is always tailored to the rider’s goals and pace.
My goal is to make horsemanship approachable, enjoyable, and confidence-building for every student, whether they ride or focus on groundwork only. I focus on building strong foundational experiences and helping students feel welcome in the horse world. As they grow, I can help guide them toward trusted barns and programs that support their goals.
Foundational Riding Lessons (Ages 7-11)
👥 Group (2) $55/per person/lesson
👤 Private $65/lesson
One-hour lessons designed to build confidence and foundational riding skills in young equestrians. Riders will learn arena and trail riding basics, proper seat, heel, and body position in the saddle, English and Western rein contact, and correct two-point position.
Lessons also include essential horsemanship skills, horse handling, grooming, tacking up, and basic horse care to help students develop a well-rounded understanding of horse ownership and riding.
This program is perfect for students with interest in horses and seek a solid foundation before committing to a specific discipline. Whether they're trying riding for the first time or looking to develop the skills needed for more advanced lessons, these classes provide a fun and supportive starting point.
Ground & Groom (All ages)
👥 Group (2) $35/student
Meet Peaches and her two off-the-track Thoroughbreds in this hands-on, ground-based horsemanship program. Ground & Groom is a four-week series, meeting weekly, with each session building on the skills learned the week before.
Participants will learn how to safely halter a horse from the field, lead correctly, tie securely, and groom with purpose and confidence. We’ll wrap up in the fourth week with students putting all skills together in a complete ground-handling routine.
This program is ideal for kids or adults who want a structured introduction to the world of horses without riding, offering a practical, confidence-building introduction to horses and basic horsemanship.
Pony Walks (Ages 3-6)
👤 Private $35/lesson
Pony Walks is a 30 minute sensory experience, designed to gently introduce kids to horses and the outdoors in a calm, supportive setting.
Participants will learn basic grooming skills and enjoy being led on horseback along the trails and arena obstacles. Each session includes time to connect with nature, ask questions, and share “cowpoke chats” with their lead-line instructor, Peaches, while getting to know their trusted steed.
This is a non-progressive program, meaning each visit follows a familiar, consistent routine focused on comfort, confidence, and enjoyment rather than skill advancement. Sessions may be booked as often as desired, with no limit on participation.
About ‘Peaches’
My love for horses began at eight years old and shaped by a variety of early experiences in the equine world, including Girl Scout camp, 4-H, and equestrian team. By age eleven, I had the opportunity to own my first horse, and my journey with horses has continued to evolve ever since.
After a five-year break from riding, I found my way back to horses in 2016 through an equine psychotherapy facility. What began as personal healing and therapeutic work eventually led to a career shift. In 2021, I transitioned from my previous field into the equine industry, where I have continued to build both experience and education.
Today, I ride across multiple disciplines, work part-time for another trainer, and continue to take lessons and pursue coaching for my own development. These ongoing experiences allow me to grow as both a student and a professional as Peaches Landing Equine LLC continues to expand.
